The river is wide, and so is your view when cruising with Avalon. We’ve designed our Suite Ships with your view in mind. This means you can soak in the castles of the Rhine Valley and the vineyards along the Douro River, all from the comfort of your Panorama Suite or the sun-drenched Sky Deck.
Elevated Suites
Wake up to picture-perfect views every morning from your Panorama Suite. We’ve thoughtfully designed our suites with beds that face the view, along with river cruising’s only Open-Air Balcony. At 11 feet wide, these panoramic windows bring the view straight to your doorstep. Your suite is also 30% larger than the industry standard, complete with Egyptian cotton sheets, a choice of mattress firmness, and L’Occitane bath products.
Elevated Explorations
No matter your interests, Avalon’s elevated explorations have you covered. From history and mystery to culture and cuisine, our included range of Avalon Choice excursions are not to be missed! From biking along the Wachau Valley to a foodie walking tour in Lyon, there is something for everyone. And did you know that there are an average of 22 included excursions on an Active and Discovery cruise? Alternatively, if you feel like exploring on your own – tap into your AvalonGO app for helpful recommendations and the ability to use a map offline.
Elevated Dining (and drinks!)
While you take in the beautiful views, our innovative chefs take inspiration from the region you’re sailing through to bring local bounties to your plate. This sits alongside Avalon Fresh, our elevated healthy dining concept (including vegetarian and vegan fare). Plus, you can choose where to dine – whether it’s a picnic lunch to take ashore, lighter bites in the Panorama Bistro or an elegant à la carte affair in the Panorama Dining Room. And to top it off? A daily Happy Hour, and regional wine and beer served with your lunches and dinners. Bon appetit!

Elevated moments are incredibly important to us here at Avalon. We’ve perfected the art of making you feel at home as soon as you step foot on your Suite Ship with a 3:1 guest to crew ratio; there are complimentary bikes available for you to use in port; start your day with morning yoga with your Adventure Host; or experience an intimate cruise on the Mekong with just 36 guests.
