Mother Teresa began her journey with the Church in 1928 at Rathfarnham Abbey in Ireland; a journey which spanned an incredibly powerful lifetime, including the setup of the Missionaries of Charity. Even after her death, the community has continued from strength to strength. In 2020, there were over 5,000 Sisters spanning 139 countries that are working to offer their services to those in need.
