The Globus family of brands Lighthouse Project aims to shine a light on a sea of needs for our planet, its people and places. Each month we share a ‘spotlight’, a focus on a particular organisation that we support. For October, the Globus family of brands Lighthouse Project’s spotlight is on the Alaska Native Heritage Center.

The Alaska Native Heritage Center (ANHC) is a living cultural centre located in Anchorage, Alaska. This not-for-profit organisation began in 1987 and eventually built a physical centre after some dedicated fundraising. The ANHC officially opened its doors to the public in 1999 and has been promoting the active observance of Alaska Native culture and traditions.

The ANHC serves as a state-wide resource for Alaska Natives from birth until Elder, supporting and celebrating all of Alaska’s Native cultures; as well as a place to raise awareness for visitors from around the world.
