Make your way to Tasmania’s Cradle Mountain National Park, and just perched on the edge is a glorious home away from home for you – Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge. Nestled in amongst the lush green wilderness, the lodge is a treat to stay at any time of the year. Winter brings snow-capped mountains, whilst spring and summer bring a vivid display of wildflowers.

Upon arrival…

With a remote vibe, you can go off-the-grid and fully immerse yourself to make the most of your time in this World Heritage listed park. There’s no doubt you’ll enjoy warm hospitality, local food and wine, and quaint cabins found dotted around in amongst the scenery. Plus, keep your eyes peeled for the wombats and wallabies as you explore the lodge’s grounds!

During your stay…

Whether you’re a foodie, an outdoor enthusiast or love getting out on the water, there’s something for everyone at Cradle Mountain and the lodge staff are only too happy to help you plan your leisure time according to your passions. Get those steps in with a guided tour on one of the many walking tracks; brush up on your fly-fishing skills with a country highland expert to land a rainbow trout; soar high above the wilderness with Cradle Mountain Helicopters; indulge in hand-crafted cool climate wines and cheeses at a wine and cheese tasting; or you may wish to just curl up with a book in the comfort of your cabin.

If you’re after some TLC, we would recommend booking yourself in to the Waldheim Alpine Spa. Whether you’re after a relaxing massage or a soak in the hot tub, you won’t find a spa experience like this anywhere else in the world. With plenty of natural light shining through the floor to ceiling glass windows, you can watch the towering mountains and forests as you indulge in some R&R. Hot tip: the spa is very popular so we would recommend booking as soon as you book your tour with us.

Enjoy the local fare…

After a busy day, cosy up in front of the fire in the Weindorfer Lounge with a drink in hand – a great spot for a pre-dinner beverage to share stories about the day’s adventures. The leather couches are perfect for settling into! When dinner calls, you have the pick of two options. The Highland Restaurant offers a seasonal menu, inspired by the very best of Tasmania’s local produce (dinner bookings are essential). Or if you’d prefer something more relaxed, the Tavern Bar & Bistro is a great spot for a hearty meal. Tasmania is renowned for its cheeses, seafood and wine – so you can expect to find these readily available at the lodge for a gastronomy adventure.

After dinner, join us on a Tasmanian Devil visit to see these furry creatures up close and personal. Watch as they interact (quite loudly, may we add!) and feed below your feet – a fun activity before you retire for the night.
