With a brand new year stretching out in front of us, it’s time to start seriously looking at your travel bucket list. Here are six cities to visit in 2022 for some travel-spiration!

Dive into the bustling capital of Vietnam, a fantastic city to visit and experience so much! There’s always something happening – whether it’s construction, motorbikes whizzing by, Tai Chi by the river or just the locals going about their daily lives. We love that you can experience Ho Chi Minh City on any budget. There are plenty of cheap eats and drinks available, and key tourist sites are fairly well-priced. On the other hand, you can live the high life by staying at one of the towering hotels and dining al fresco at a rooftop bar.

Fairbanks, Alaska

You might be surprised to know that Fairbanks, Alaska is not just a winter destination! Yes, there are plenty of once-in-a-lifetime activities on offer during winter – dog mushing, ice fishing, skiing and more – but summertime is an option to consider. With an almost-24-hour daylight from mid-May to mid-July, the day stretches into the night so you can really make the most of your time. Whatever time of year you decide to visit, you’ll come away with a deeper understanding of Fairbank’s pioneer spirit, immaculate scenery and friendly hospitality.

Take a step back in time when visiting Bath, surrounded by lush countryside and filled with spectacular architecture throughout the city itself. We love that it’s easily accessible from London for a day or weekend trip, making it a perfect city to add to your travel bucket list if visiting the UK in 2022.

Evora, Portugal

You can’t miss its aqueduct, cathedral, churches or the fresh white houses that adorn the streets. Combined with tasty local specialties and handicrafts, Evora will certainly charm your socks off!

Bar Harbor is often included on national ‘best of’ lists so it’s no wonder that the city is loved by many who visit and live there. Famously known as the gateway to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor also boasts a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and foodies all year round! Summer is the peak time for visitors, especially as whale watching is best done at this time of year; spring and autumn bring delightful weather, plus beautiful fall foliage colours; and winter is all about the snow.
