When you’re planning a holiday, we all know that seasonality plays a big part in deciding when and where to travel to. Here is a handy guide on how to pick your North America holiday based on your favourite season.

Summer

If you are a fan of summer, then look no further than Hawaii for your next sunshine-filled holiday. Head out early in the day to beat the heat and take your pick from a wide variety of adventure-packed activities. Hike to a waterfall, explore a local coffee plantation or get up and close and personal with an active volcano! After eating your fill of local delights like poke made with freshly caught fish, or moreish manapua (similar to a Chinese pork bun), it’s time to relax either poolside or on one of Hawaii’s golden sand beaches. There’s a reason why Hawaii is such a popular North America destination!

Autumn

The New England region on the East Coast of the USA is comprised of six states – Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts – and is one of the best destinations to visit in North America during autumn. Situated along the coastline with a series of lush forests dotted throughout ensures a jaw-dropping spectacle of fiery hues. The leaves often change colour at different times through autumn so you can plan your North America holiday for any of these cooler months.

Winter

The Canadian Rockies are calling all winter lovers! While beautiful all year round, a dusting of fresh snow really brings the area alive. Whistler is a popular place for the ski and snowboard bunnies; National Parks, like Jasper and Banff, are still open for avid hikers (don’t forget your spikes!); plus, it’s ice hockey season so you might be lucky enough to catch a game in Vancouver! The temperatures will be crisp however Canada is built for frosty temperatures with underground passages and cosy cafes to warm you up.

Spring

With warmer months on the horizon, we would recommend ticking off an adventure along the West Coast of the USA. The timing couldn’t be more perfect as you will hit all the intriguing spots before the summer crowds begin. Watch the sun rise at Grand Canyon National Park; embrace the quirky vibe of San Francisco; eat your way through Seattle; and live your best life in Los Angeles. There is so much to see and do in this area of North America, so it will suit any kind of traveller!
