With a new year just around the corner, here’s a quick read on our 2024 Hot List in the hopes to inspire you to make travel plans.  

Helsinki, Finland

For a ‘green’ destination, Helsinki should top your list. The city has plenty of green spaces dotted around which comprises of 40% of the city; it has some of the cleanest city air in the world; a growing farm-to-table food ethos; and approximately 1,200 kilometres of cycle lanes for people to get around.  

Barcelona, Spain

The capital city of Spain’s Catalonia region, Barcelona, is a vibrant city with a prime location. By car, it is 1.5 hours to the sunny Costa Brava; just under four hours to Montpellier, France; and six hours to cultural Bilbao. Alongside this, Barcelona is filled with eclectic Gaudí and Art Nouveau architecture, a delicious cuisine and fascinating neighbourhoods. Barcelona will also play host city to the highly anticipated 37th America’s Cup sailing race between August – October, making it one for the 2024 hot list. 

Siem Reap, Cambodia

If you haven’t experienced Siem Reap yet, make 2024 the year to tick it off your bucket list! Home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Angkor, this empire was the capital of the Khmer regime. You’ll hop from temple to temple in speedy rickshaws with friendly, informative guides. We guarantee that these ancient ruins that date back to the ninth to fifteenth centuries will knock your socks off with their mind-blowing architecture and history.  

San Francisco, USA

Visit San Francisco on a budget, or decide to splurge – but either way, this cosmopolitan city is on our 2024 hot list. Featuring charming cable cars, the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, a world-famous science museum and a thriving foodie scene, San Francisco is the perfect introduction to the West Coast of the USA.  

Bath, England

Bath is the only place in the United Kingdom whereby the entire city has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The historic Roman Baths in the heart of the city are its main attraction (and for good reason, too!) as they are incredibly well-preserved and a must-visit. A little further out, you can lose yourself exploring the cobblestone streets with boutique shops and quaint cafes, take in the beautiful Royal Crescent houses, and wander through the picturesque Botanical Gardens.  

Taormina Riviera, Italy

Ever since the second series of the hit HBO television show, The White Lotus, Sicily’s popularity has grown. Perched high above the Ionian Sea, feel like you’ve stepped back in time in the Taormina Riviera as you explore medieval streets and its Greek-Roman Amphitheatre. Dive headfirst into exceptional cuisine that utilises locally grown produce like eggplants, tomatoes and oranges, then take a cable car down to the waterline for a refreshing swim.
