What comes to mind when you think of Ireland? Panoramic vistas of lush landscapes? Medieval castles dotted across the island? Bustling cities filled with unique heritage?

All of this and more come together to create the Emerald Isle as we know it today. Ireland is world famous for its plethora of spectacular nature and heritage, leaving you feeling rejuvenated after your visit. Here are four incredible places to feel rejuvenated in Ireland. Céad míle fáilte, a hundred-thousand welcomes!

1. Aran Islands

Head on over to Inishmore, the largest of the Aran Islands. Here you will be welcomed by a friendly local who will take you through life on Inishmore Island over a tasty lunch at Joe Watty’s. Joe Watty’s Bar & Seafood Restaurant is the place to go for good food, good company and good Gaelic music! This is followed by a tour of the island, including the historic clifftop fort of Dun Aengus.

2. Cliffs of Moher

The Cliffs of Moher are an iconic landmark of Ireland, towering above the Atlantic Ocean at a mighty height of over 200 metres and spanning 14 kilometres. Found on the wild West Coast of Ireland, the Cliffs of Moher certainly live up to the hype and you will come away with a treasure trove of memories.

3. Kylemore Abbey

Nestled between the woodlands and lakeshore of Galway city, Kylemore Abbey is home to the Benedictine Sisters. They have been in residence since 1920 carrying out a fulfilling life of prayer, work and community (with the history of the abbey itself dating back to the 1800’s). Stroll through the abbey’s beautiful grounds of the largest walled garden in Ireland, then stop in to purchase handmade chocolates, wild Irish honey and traditional fuchsia pottery to take home.

4. Belfast

While a little smaller than some of the cities in Ireland, Belfast certainly packs a punch and is well-worth your time. It has the perfect mix of old and new. From Belfast Castle and St George’s Market to Game of Thrones® references and wall art, there is something for everyone! We would highly recommend visiting the Titanic Belfast Experience for an in-depth look at the history and mystery of the legendary ocean liner. Take an immersive look at the launch, sinking and final resting place with myths and reality revealed.
