We are pleased to announce that the March spotlight for Globus family of brands’ Lighthouse Project is on Trees4Travel.
Trees4Travel is a fitting organisation to partner with due to their ethos of travelling sustainably and responsibly, something that the Globus family of brands fully supports. Trees4Travel allows travellers around the world to reduce their carbon footprint by planting a tree every time we go on holiday, for the price of one coffee – it’s that easy! These trees are then planted in developing countries to help local communities and their ecosystems.
But why trees, you may ask? Planting trees helps us and the world we live in, in several ways. Trees help to clean the air we breathe and the water we drink; they provide a home for a variety of different species; and they even help to encourage health and happiness within ourselves, like the Japanese tradition of shinrin-yoku (or forest bathing). These are just some of the amazing benefits of planting trees!
