To experience real Irish pub life, you need to visit Galway. Brightly painted pubs bellow with live music, while restaurants and cafes offer the best front-row seats for watching buskers and street performers. Outside of the compact city square is a long promenade that takes you to the brightly coloured seaside suburb of Salthill on Galway Bay, the source of the area’s famous oysters.
